CX2 partners with GEOCommand, Inc. to offer a comprehensive emergency response solution for homeland security and public safety.

Since the advent of the Department of Homeland Security, there have been numerous incentives and a comprehensive effort to overcome the deficiencies of the nation’s current emergency response systems.

GEOCommand’s state-of-the-art software provides real-time information when and where it is most needed. GEOCommand is capable of displaying almost any form of information as it becomes available, including documents, streamed video, weather updates, and sensor data. This critical information can be referenced with interactive map layers and embedded emergency response handbooks – all available within an intuitive interface that can be easily learned and operated.

One of GEOCommand’s most powerful features is its ability to incorporate data from fixed, mobile, and remote GPS-equipped sensors. CX2’s DATALynx radios are engineered to seamlessly relay data from weather and traffic sensors as well as biological, chemical, and radiation sensors to the GEOCommand Dynamic Server and in-vehicle units.

In addition, GEOCommand solution stands alone as the only emergency response solution in full compliance with the Assure Emergency and Interoperable Communications for First Responders Act of 2005. This federal legislation makes available grant money to assist in the development of a nationwide, interoperable public safety network, while encouraging the use of existing infrastructure.

Because GEOCommand responds specifically to the guidelines set forth in the legislation, it is the ideal solution for state, municipal, utility, and other public safety entities seeking to enhance their emergency response systems. To assist these agencies, the GEOCommand team includes experts in the complexities of federal grant applications who are available to help agencies apply for monies earmarked for public safety projects.

GEOCommand is only recently available but is already under consideration by federal, state, and local public safety entities in major metropolitan areas across the United States. In 2008 it will be deployed in California, Colorado, Virginia, Florida, and Massachusetts.
