DATALynx Digital Radios

Extremely reliable and efficient, DATALynx radios are CX2’s self-contained, multi-functional subscriber units for two-way wireless data monitoring and control of fixed or mobile assets.

Specifications
Each DATALynx unit includes two conventional serial ports. In a typical environment, one port interfaces to an end-point device, while the second port is used for monitoring. The radio’s dedicated Atmel 8-bit RISC processor contains an ANSI-C software application specific to customer needs. The radio accommodates both generic and customized applications.

If configured to interface with an Internet Locator Server (ILS) on the CX2 network, a secure TCP/IP port on a CX2 server connects to the customer’s network. Depending on the customer’s configuration, the link may be a local serial or Ethernet connection, or a dedicated DDS, ISDN, or frame-relay circuit.

Why are DATALynx radios so effective?

DATALynx

DATALynx radios use CX2's patented over-the-air protocol to make optimal use of the 220-222 MHz spectrum.

Narrowband radio frequencies are ideal for public safety. Coverage from a single radio tower can extend over 1,200 square miles, even over difficult terrain. Unlike overused high-frequency bandwidths, the channels experience little or no interference.
